[A] feedback event to follow up on two cancer services listening events that were held earlier in the year will be hosted by North Cumbria University Hospitals NHS Trust.

The feedback event will be held on Thursday, 30 November at 6.00pm at the James George Education Centre at the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.

During the two previous listening events, patients, family members and carers spoke about what mattered the most to them when it comes to cancer services. Participants were encouraged to talk about what was working and what wasn’t working with the current cancer services the Trust offers.

The Trust gathered information on topics such as quality of life, survival and experience of care and have then looked at where the Trust needs to put its focus. Now the Trust wants to present back on the work that has been done as a result of these events.

Fraser Cant, associate chief operations officer for the Trust said:” During these events we will be presenting people with some of the actions we have taken so far on some of the ideas and suggestions we have received. The Trust is in the process of transforming our cancer services to better meet the local needs, so we can offer the best care and better outcomes for our patients and their families.“
