The Hub in Workington

[W]orkington Town Council is looking for artists, musicians and entertainers to perform at The Hub in Workington town centre.

The Town Council books performers throughout the summer months to provide free entertainment to shoppers and passers-by. The performances take place at the town centre’s ‘Hub’, a busy meeting point at the heart of the shopping centre.

Performances need to be family friendly and suitable for a wide audience. Past performances have included dance, music, choirs, storytellers, street theatre and children’s entertainment. The Town Council’s Chair of the Culture Committee, Cllr Antony McGuckin commented;

“We are proud to showcase local talented performers in Workington town centre. ‘The Hub’ is a great venue, situated among the busy shops and cafés, and an ideal place for visitors to check out up-and-coming talent as well as our popular established performers.”

For further information please contact Amy Johnson at Workington Town Council: [email protected] or 01900 702986.
