Police appeal after gravestone damaged in Egremont Ceremony

[P]olice are investigating an incident of criminal damage to a gravestone in Egremont Ceremony on North Road, Egremont.

The damage was found on 6th April 2018, and consisted of black spray paint being sprayed over the name of the deceased. This has caused distress to the family of the deceased.

Anyone with any information is asked to email [email protected] or call 101 and ask to speak to PC 2199 Andy Murdoch, quoting incident number 61 of the 6th April. Alternatively you can contact Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
