[A] Carlisle man has appeared before District Judge Gerald Chalk sitting in the magistrates court.
Michael John Webber, 58, of Edgehill Road, Harraby, Carlisle pleaded guilty to one charge of possession of indecent images of children on December 7, 2017, in total 221,489 images.
He pleaded guilty to making indecent images of children in total 1,499, and guilty to making 3,848 category B indecent images of children, also guilty to making indecent photos between February 15, 2016 and November 24, 2017 in total 216,142 category C images.
Also on December 7, 2017 a guilty plea to the charge of possession of extreme phonographic image involving a sex act, not involving a child.
Webber pleaded guilty to the four charges, he was granted bail and will be sentenced at Carlisle Crown Court on May 11.
