[A]t 2:31pm yesterday, Tuesday 5 June firefighters were called to a report of a collision in Cowgill, Sedbergh, where a car had crashed into a wall and was overhanging a river.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “On arrival the crews secured the vehicle and removed a woman safely from it.
“She was handed over to the care of paramedics.
“Firefighters were in attendance for around half-an-hour.”
