
A young couple have been rescued after getting stuck on a Lake District Mountain.
Keswick Mountain Rescue were called out on Monday at 12.47pm to the couple who were stuck on steep ground at Howgill Tongue on the south side of Skiddaw.
A small team were deployed via Applethwaite and ascended Howgill Tongue.
The couple were found and short-roped back to safe ground from where they continued on their way.
The incident lasted one hour and 53 minutes.
