[A]t 1:10am today, Wednesday 8 August firefighters were called to reports of a vehicle fire on the A689 in Stainton, Carlisle.
On arrival the crew from Carlisle West Fire Station found a vehicle alight and that a lamp post had been damaged.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “A firefighter wearing breathing apparatus extinguished the fire with a hose reel jet.
“Firefighters were in attendance for around 40 minutes.
“Police and the Highways Agency also attended.”
