[P]olice are investigating a road traffic collision which occurred at approx 11:40am on Wednesday 22 August at the pedestrian crossing on Charlotte Street at the junction with Nelson Bridge in Carlisle.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “A 4-year-old girl was knocked down and suffered a broken leg, cuts and bruises.
“Police would like to speak to anyone who witnessed the collision.”
