At 10:18pm yesterday, Wednesday 5 September Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service appliances from Barrow, Ulverston and Walney including the Joint Incident Command Unit from Walney were called to a flat fire at Low White Close, Barrow.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Crews used breathing apparatus, 2 hose reel jets and positive pressure ventilation to bring the fire under control.”
