A man has been charged with robbery and attempted robbery in connection with an incident in Cockermouth.
Michael Ferguson, aged 28, of Weetslade Road, Cramlington, has been charged with following offences:
- Robbery
- Attempt robbery
- Assault a constable in the execution of duty
- Obstruct/resist a constable in execution of duty
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Ferguson appeared before West Cumbria Magistrates’ Court today (21st September) where he was remanded in custody.
“His next court appearance has been scheduled for 22nd October at Carlisle Crown Court.
“The charges are in connection with an incident on Station Street on the evening of 19th September.”
