Cockermouth Conservation Area has been shortlisted in a national competition to determine England’s favourite Conservation Area.

It now needs votes in the public vote.

There are over 10,000 conservation areas in England. Of these, 249 were nominated to Civic Voice in a national competition to determine ‘England’s Favourite Conservation Area’.

Cockermouth Conservation Area was one of 18 short listed for public vote.

Phil Campbell, Chairman Cockermouth Civic Trust said: “Voting is open until Wednesday and clearly Cockermouth needs lots of support if it is to compete with the more well known and populated areas further south.

“We believe that Cockermouth town centre and Conservation Area is something for us all to be proud of.”

If you agree, please lend your support by voting at https://www.bigconservationconversation.com/.
