The family of Jamie Lindsay, who died following a road traffic collision on the A7 on Tuesday afternoon (9 Oct), have released a tribute.
A spokesman for Jamie’s family said: “Jamie came from the village of Killearn in the Campsie Fells where he lived all his life until he met and fell in love with Mike Lindsay who is a doctor in the Royal Navy. Both families grew close and were delighted when they got married. There was never a dull moment in Jamie’s company.
“Jamie’s career began with an interest in aviation but he realised that his love of all things mechanical was greater.
“He read civil engineering in Glasgow and worked for several major companies before setting up his own. He later founded a logistics company.
“At the time of his death he was in the process of setting up an airline. Mike and Jamie were in the process of adopting two young boys when he passed away.
“He will be sadly missed by his husband, family and friends. Mike and Jamie had a very happy relationship that lasted almost 15 years.”
