Police have confirmed that a 42 year-old man has died in hospital following a road traffic collision on the A75, west of the Dromore roundabout in Dumfries.
The male driver, has been named as Andrew Fisher, from Wallsend, Tyne and Wear, was involved in a one car road traffic collision around 9.05 am on Saturday 27 October 2018.
A woman and three children who were passengers in the vehicle were uninjured.
Sergeant Leigh McCulloch, Lockerbie Road Policing Unit, said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish exactly what happened and we are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the incident.
“You may have seen the vehicle, a white Hyundai, driving on the A75 previous to the incident and have dash-cam footage that can help us.
“We ask that you come forward and contact us with any information.”
