Members of the public are invited to attend a coffee afternoon in Carlisle where they can speak with a number of different agencies about any concerns or issues they may have.
The event will be held at Belah Community Centre, Briar Bank, on Monday 5th November between 1pm and 3pm.
Representatives from Carlisle MIND, Housing Association and local councillors will join Inspector Diane Bradbury, PCSO Nicola Bell-Prescott and PC Sam Butler at the event.
PCSO Nicola Bell-Prescott said: ‘’This is a great opportunity for local residents and businesses in the Belah area to attend and speak with the police about any ongoing issues they may be having in and around the area.
“A great deal of work has been put into the Belah area of late and we will carry on trying to tackle crime and anti-social behaviour in the area in order to make the residents feel safe to live and work there.
“We will be offering feedback for recent events we have been involved in and will be there to offer reassurance to those who need it.
“If you have any concerns or any issues that you’d like to raise I’d urge you to attend so we can talk about them and see if there is something we can do to help. It’s also an opportunity to pop in and have a chat over coffee and cake with us.‘’
Cumbria’s Police and Crime Commissioner Peter McCall said: “This is a great example of how the local focus hubs can make a difference in local communities, and I would urge residents and businesses in the Belah area to take advantage of the opportunity and share any concerns or issues they may have. By working together we can all help to help keep Cumbria safe, so please do call in if you can, even if it is just for the cake!”
