Two rescued from Thirlmere flood water

At 11:44am today, Thursday 29 November three fire engines from Keswick and Penrith attended an incident on Back Lane, Thirlmere involving a vehicle in flood water.

A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Two persons were rescued by Fire Service personnel and placed in the care of North West Ambulance Service.

“Fire crews were in attendance for approximately one hour.”
