Copeland Council Christmas opening hours

COPELAND Borough Council offices (including Market Hall and Millom) will be closed from 1pm on Monday, December 24.

Our Market Hall, Whitehaven office will reopen at 9am on Wednesday, January 2 and our Millom Office will open at 9am on Thursday, January 3.

The Distington Hall Crematorium office will close at 1pm on Monday, December 24 and will reopen on Thursday, December 27, and will close again for one day on Tuesday, January 1. The Chapel of Remembrance is open from 9am until 4.15pm every day throughout the Christmas period.

Household waste and recycling collections scheduled between December 25 and 28 will be two days later than normal. Collections scheduled from January 1 until January 4 will be one day later than normal. Collections scheduled for Monday, December 24 and 31 will be collected as normal.

The Beacon Museum will close at 4pm on December 23 and will reopen on December 27 and will close again on December 30 and will reopen on Wednesday, January 2.

There will be no markets held in Whitehaven, Egremont or Cleator Moor during the week commencing Monday, December 24.

The out-of-hours emergency number for issues relating to serious food safety complaints, reporting for food poisoning, dangerous structures, homelessness, flooding response, and sandbag requests for residential properties is 01946 598300.
