Copeland MP to welcome Defence Secretary to Cumbria

The MP for Copeland is set to host the Secretary of State for Defence in Cumbria next week.

On Thursday 17th January, Trudy Harrison MP will welcome the Rt Hon Secretary of State for Defence, Gavin Williamson CBE MP to Copeland for a tour of the constituency.

The day will include a visit to a number of local businesses and charities, as well as a meeting with local members and councillors in Millom.

Rt Hon Gavin Williamson MP, said: “I know what a lovely constituency it is and I am looking forward to seeing Trudy and her constituents.

“Trudy is a fantastic MP who is always campaigning for local issues. I want to thank the team in Trudy’s office for all the hard work that I know they have put into organising the day.”

Mrs Harrison, added: “Across Cumbria we have so much to be proud off so I am delighted to be welcoming the Secretary of State to my constituency next week where I will be showcasing the role that Copeland plays in the defence of the realm whilst meeting with local charities, businesses and organisations.”
