Police appeal after Workington handbag thefts

Police are investigating a theft from an unattended vehicle in the area of Mason Street, Workington between 11:50am and 12:05pm on Tuesday 5th February.

A brick was thrown through the front passenger side window of a black Ford Fiesta and a black Michael Kors handbag was taken.

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police on 101 quoting log number 70 of 5th Feburary 2019, Or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.


Police are also investigating the theft of a handbag taken from a car parked on Loweswater Avenue, Workington, between 9:45am and 10:15am on Wednesday 6th February.

The passenger side window of a Renault Clio was smashed and a bag was taken from the front seat.

Anybody with information that will assist in recovering the property or identifying those responsible is asked to contact the police on 101 quoting log 59 of 6th February 2019, Crimestoppers, in confidence, on 0800 555 111 or speak with any police officer.
