THE Egremont community has joined forces for a successful clean-up event.
School pupils, councillors and community representatives took part in Friday’s event in which more than 100 bags of litter were collected.
The areas targeted were Main Street, Brisco Mount and Castle Croft.
Organised by Egremont Town Council, the clean-up was supported by Bookwell School, Calderwood House, Works For You, Copeland Council and members of the public.
The next in the town council’s series of community clean-ups will be in April, and volunteers are asked to contact the council for more information.
