At 9:54pm yesterday, Saturday 23 February, two fire engines from Carlisle East and Carlisle West attended reports of a building fire on Compton Street, Carlisle.
A Cumbria Fire and Rescue Service spokesman said: “Crews used four breathing apparatus, two hose reel jets, a thermal imaging camera and a positive pressure ventilation unit to extinguish the fire.
“Crews were in attendance for approximately one hour.”
