Museum gearing up for a cracking Easter

Cumbria’s Museum of Military Life in Carlisle Castle

Cumbria’s Museum of Military Life in Carlisle Castle is gearing up for a busy Easter Season. The Museum located in the heart of the historic quarter within the grounds of Carlisle Castle tells the story of Cumbria’s County Infantry Regiment and its soldiers past and present. The Museum now moves into its Summer Season and is open seven days a week 10am-6pm.

During the school holidays The Museum will be holding drop in workshops starting on Wednesday 3 April 11am-3pm. Come along and join Pui Lee to make your own medal to take home with you using fabric and other materials and on

Wednesday 10 April  Be inspired by the badges and crests found throughout the museum and design and make your own felt and fabric patches. Join Helen to design a patch that expresses who you are and reflects your interests or just experiment with creating a design using different colours and shapes

Over the Easter period (Friday 19 April to -Sunday 21 April) the Museum’s popular Woolly Bunny Easter Egg trail through the galleries will take place every day.

All the activities are free of charge but Museum admission prices apply. The Wednesday Easter workshops run from 11am-3pm.
