Cumbria County Council’s Community Learning and Skills service recently launched a new guide to adult learning courses available around the county – and there’s bound to be a course that will spark your creativity!

The service runs workshops and longer courses from locations all over Cumbria, so whether you’re interested in learning a new language, or want to improve your sewing skills, there’s something for everybody. Some new courses for the summer term include:

  • Making Sea Glass jewellery
  • Linocut workshop
  • Upcycling fashion
  • Sketching in the grounds of Armathwaite Hall

For those who may be looking to improve their Maths and English skills, we run a number of free qualifications from Entry Level up to GCSE.  Whatever you choose to do, you’ll find our tutors are supportive and encouraging, and our classes are a great way to meet new people and increase your confidence and skills.

The new guide is available online at www.cumbria.gov.uk/learningandskills  – where you can choose from over 200 courses. You can also follow the service on Facebook (@CumbriaLearning), Instagram (@cumbrialearning) and Twitter (@CumbriaLearning) to keep up to date with the latest opportunities.

If you like, share and comment with the #BeInspired hashtag on our Spring & Summer 2019 Facebook posts, you’ll also have a chance to win a free course up to the value of £100.
