A man previously living in Penrith has appeared before magistrates in Carlisle charged with possession of ammunition for a firearm without a firearms certificate.
Perry Lloyd Mason, 32, gave his address as Lowther Street, Carlisle.
The allegation is from April 22, 2018 in Penrith, he had in his possession Parabellum bullet cartridges (Luger) 23-cartridges, with no firearms certificate in force under the 1968 Firearms Act.
Mason pleaded not guilty to the accusation and will next appear before a judge at Carlisle Crown Court on May 24, he was granted unconditional bail until then.
