Police are investigating an incident at the Lucky Chop Suey House on Newtown Road in Carlisle.
The incident occurred at around 8pm on 14/06/19.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Two men have entered the shop, one has purchased chips and then proceeded to fraudulently obtain £30 in cash from the sales assistant by making repeated requests for money to be changed.
“He was assisted by the other man who distracted the sales assistant.”
