Local Kendal business, Thomson Hayton Winkley Estate Agents, have answered Kendal United’s plea for a sponsor of the U17 football team.

The U17 Kendal United team are newly established, as previously the teams ran to u16 before becoming part of the senior league. The team will play in the Kent Valley League and will be made up from a squad of around 17.

The newly formed squad were presented with their kit by Clare Hoban and Angela Horn Directors of THW Estate Agents.

Clare Hoban commented: “We think that the kit for the U17 Team looks fabulous. As the local estate agents we believe it’s really important to invest in local sponsorship. We wish the team well this season and hope that it’s an exciting year for them.”

Robert Greenwood from the U17 squad said: “It’s great that we found a local business to sponsor us. At one stage we didn’t think there would be a team let alone sponsorship. The enthusiasm that we’ve found in bringing this team together has been amazing we’re still looking for more people to join the squad to make it a successful season! We’d like to thank Thomson Hayton Winkley Estate Agents for their support.”

Angela Horn added: “Thomson Hayton Winkley Estate Agents are delighted to have been able to help out with sponsorship and the creation of this team will hopefully encourage more participation in the sport.”
