Police are appealing for witnesses following an incident of attempted burglary at a bank on Lowther Street, Whitehaven.
The incident occurred overnight between the hours of 8pm on Friday 2nd August to 08:30am on Saturday 3rd August.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Offenders tried to force entry to the property, which has high security, but were unsuccessful in their attempts.
“Damage was caused to the window of the property.”
Anyone with information, or who may have seen anyone acting suspicious in the area overnight, is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log number 80 of the 3rd of August, or call Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
