The result of the by-election for Silloth Town Council as held yesterday [17 October] is as follows:
- Daniel Brown (Labour): 40 votes
- Carol Ann Elisabeth Doran: 62 votes
- Ronald Angus Emmerson: 177 votes
- James Edward Graham: 67 votes
- Ian Ward: 32 votes
Number of rejected ballot papers: 2
Turnout: 16.86%
Therefore Ronald Angus Emmerson was duly elected.
