Celebrate Halloween with a special singalong special of Wickerman (15), showing in Rheged Cinema on Thursday 31 October at 7.45pm.
Hosted by performer David Bramwell and singer Eliza Skelton, Singalong-a-Wickerman! is a camp Rocky Horror-style cabaret and film night; combining live music, audience participation, sing-a-longs, bottom-slapping and other Wickerman-themed silliness.
Audiences are encouraged to attend dressed as their favourite character from the film and are provided with a “Pagan Hymn Book”, featuring the words to all the songs in the film and a “goody bag” full of mystery items to be used during the film.
Helen Campion, Rheged Cinema Manager, said: “We wanted to try something new and a little outrageous this Halloween and discovered a bizarre and brilliant singalong touring show of this cult classic. Dr Bramwell and Eliza have travelled the country performing the show and we can’t wait to see them perform it in Cumbria. Expect a totally unique and unforgettable night at the cinema. “
Tickets are £10 each and are on sale now at Rheged.com or by calling Rheged Box Office on 01768 868000.
Rheged Café is open every evening, serving food until 8.30pm. Perfect for a bite to eat before a film! Drinks from our bar can be taken into the cinema with you; choose from a selection of local ales, organic wines and Cumbrian-distilled spirits.
