Talented Derbyshire based singing group, Peak Voices, this year launched their first spring tour, ‘One Song More! A night at the musicals’.
Following sell out shows and rave reviews, they impressed again with their 2019 summer tour. Peak Voices will be leaving Derbyshire behind as they journey to Cumbria to perform a special show at Gamblesby Methodist Church to help raise money for the church’s much needed repair work. The audience can expect to be treated to an evening of songs from popular West End shows including Blood Brothers, The Greatest Showman, Chicago, West Side Story, Les Misérables and more.
The group made up of Chris Blackshaw, Nic Wilson, Gemma Flitter, Rachel Callen and their accompanist Wendy Byrne got together to share their love of singing with a wider audience in small villages. Chris said “we are extremely thrilled to have been invited to perform in Cumbria. We are especially looking forward to this show as we will be achieving what our group set out to do – to bring performances of a high calibre to rural communities at a low cost. We understand that not everyone has the privilege of having a theatre nearby and that not everyone is able to travel to, or afford to go to, the theatre. This is why we perform our shows in smaller communities.”
The show on Saturday 23 November 2019, starts at 7.30pm with doors opening at around 6.45pm. All tickets are £10 including refreshments.
Tickets are available locally from Jan Blackshaw on 01768 254320 or can be booked by contacting the Peak Voices booking lines on 07539 560102 or 07575 900098. You can also book tickets by emailing [email protected].
