The Christmas Concert at Carlisle Cathedral is one of the highlights of the holiday calendar, and this year will be no exception. On Friday 13 December the combined choirs of the Cathedral – boy and girl choristers, Lay Clerks and the Cathedral Consort – will sing a programme of carols to include traditional tunes alongside family favourites and contemporary classics.
This year’s concert will be the first Christmas for this year’s new recruits to the choir who are excited to be taking part in the celebrations. At this very special time of the year there is nothing better to bring on that Christmas cheer than Jingle Bells and Ding Dong Merrily On High in the awe-inspiring surroundings of Carlisle Cathedral.
Tickets for the concert cost £10 – with free tickets for under-18s. They are available online from the Cathedral’s website or in person from the Cathedral Gift Shop. All proceeds from ticket sales support the work of the Music Department at Carlisle Cathedral.
