The next play at Penrith Playhouse, showing from Wednesday 11th December to Saturday 14th, is the popular comedy Comfort and Joy.
Mike Harding, the playwright, musician and presenter, paints a delightful and funny portrait of family Christmases everywhere. On this particular Yuletide, nothing goes quite right in the Duggan household….. expect a little mayhem with long-absent family members, weird neighbours, an abundance of household and culinary mishaps plus a cultural clash or two.
Adult humour, bottles of familiar comfort, and lashings of Christmas comic joy.
Director Robert Pottinger said: “It’s an enjoyable light-hearted view of Christmas. We have an excellent cast and a great support team.
“Come and join the festive fun and get in the Christmas mood!”
Tickets are available at www.penrithplayers.org.uk, on their Facebook page or from Penrith TIC, telephone 01768 867466 at £9, £8 concessions and £5 for students.
