A MAN accused of burgling a home in Workington has appeared in court.
Callum Marcel McMullen, 28, faces one charge.
This alleges the burglary of a dwelling at Trinity Court in the town on July 18 last year, and the theft of belongings.
These personal items are said to be a Samsung tablet, a silver bracelet, two iPhones, an Armani watch, clothing, a bottle of Jack Daniel’s and a quantity of cash.
McMullen appeared at Carlisle Crown Court this morning (MON) and pleaded not guilty to the allegation.
He will now go on trial in front of a jury. This hearing – estimated to last around a day – is due to start at the crown court on February 3.
In the meantime, McMullen was granted bail by Judge Nicholas Barker, and reminded of the need to co-operate with the preparation of a pre-trial statement which sets out his defence to the allegation he denies.
One condition of his bail states that he must live and sleep at an address near Blackpool.
