Players from canoe clubs round Cumbria, came together on Sat 23rd November for the first Cumbria Canoe Polo Tournament of the season, held at the Penrith Leisure Centre.
Eight teams from Penrith, Kendal, Barrow-in-Furness & Lancaster competed in two mini leagues at the competition.
The novice league was won by Lancaster University Y team in a closely fought play-off with Penrith G team.
The open league was won by Lakeland Canoe Club from Kendal, again in a closely fought play-off, this time with Penrith K team.
All teams enjoyed the event and had their own individual successes, with everyone looking forward to the next tournament in February.
