A MAN has denied driving while unfit through drugs on the M6 in north Cumbria.
Rhonan Najee Walker-Fearon, 30, pleaded not guilty to two charges when he appeared before a judge at Carlisle Crown Court today (WED).
These allege that Walker-Fearon drove a Ford Focus on the M6 near Penrith while unfit through drugs, and the illegal possession of a bladed article – a folding pocket knife – in the same area.
Both charges arise out of an incident on the motorway on May 17 this year.
Walker-Fearon, of Whitby Road, Birmingham, will now go on trial at the crown court in mid-March. The hearing, in front of a jury, is expected to last one day.
Until then, Walker-Fearon was granted bail by Judge Peter Davies.
