A West Cumbrian man has appeared at North and West Cumbria Magistrates Court charged with an offence of rape.
Robert Scott Bell, 26, gave his address as Main Street, Cockermouth, he was charged with an allegation of rape on a woman aged over 16 years of age, it is stated to have taken place at Dacre, Penrith on December 24, 2018.
No plea was requested today (TUES).
As this accusation is indictable only it must be heard at Carlisle Crown Court, District Judge Gerald Chalk committed Bell to appear there on February 24, he was placed on conditional bail.
