Two days of road closures are planned for rural north Cumbrian roads for surface dressing.
Work will start on multiple rural routes on Monday July 27 and Tuesday July 28, subject to weather and site conditions.
The roads scheduled for treatment are:
- Faugh to How
- Parkhouse to Faugh
- Cairn Bank to Park House
- Castle Carrock to Longdyke Cottages
- Cumrew Castle Croft
- Sarkhall to Oak Bank
- U1204 to Common Flat
- District Boundary to North Park
- America Wood
- District Boundary junction to C2049
- Junction of Henning/Windy Fell Road
- Mill Croft to Common Flatt
- Routes across the Wreay area
Temporary road closures will be in place while the treatment takes place.
Diversion routes will be available throughout the closures.
Each treatment is expected to take two to three hours and will be undertaken between 8am and 4pm.
Roads will be reopened as soon as the project is completed.
A temporary 20mph speed limit will remain in place following the treatment due to the presence of loose chippings.
