Cumbria Police are appealing for information as officers investigate an attempted ATM theft from Spar in King Street, Wigton in the early hours of this morning (26 Jan).
The incident occurred just after 4am this morning following reports of a green tractor being was used to gain access to the shop. The ATM was not taken during the incident.
Detectives are following multiple lines of enquiry and officers will be carrying out an investigation at the scene and surrounding areas today and are keen to hear from any witnesses to this incident who have yet to come forward.
They are also appealing for anyone with dashcam on their vehicle, CCTV or was in the area at the time to make contact.
