A woman has been charged with making malicious communications after police were called to the Moorclose area of Workington.
Police were called at 12.20pm yesterday (February 4) regarding concern for the welfare of a woman.
Inquiries were carried out by officers and a number of addresses were searched.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Michelle Whineray, 40, of Bowness Court, Workington, was later charged with making malicious communications.
“She is due to appear at North and West Cumbria Magistrates’ Court on February 21.”
