A man found his ex-partner in the bedroom with her new partner when he went to her home unannounced Carlisle’s Rickergate Magistrates Court was told.
Stuart Fisher, 35, of Alton Street, Carlisle pleaded guilty to criminal damage on November 10 last year.
Andrew Travis prosecuting told the court how Fisher went to his ex-partners home around 2am, he had smashed a window earlier and then entered by an unsecured door, he had been in about a three-year relationship but this ended about four-months before the incident.
When the defendant went upstairs he found the couple together, he left and police were notified.
Fisher represented himself in court and said, “he was allegedly asked by her to go around” he works as a joiner, he also said he had paid compensation for the damage caused to two doors which amounted to around £300.
Magistrates fined Fisher £141 prosecution costs of £85 and a victims surcharge of £32.
