The Helena Thompson Museum, Workington Town Council Councillors and volunteers with the Workington Community Emergency Response Group have shown their support for colleagues on the frontline in the NHS by turning the top floor of the museum blue.
Manager of the Helena Thompson Museum, Tricia Poole, said: “We’re delighted that we have been able to do something to show our support and we managed to do so while following government guidance on social distancing. A small token of how much the NHS and all key workers are appreciated in Workington.”
Cllr Paul Scott, added: “We really wanted to do something to show our support and discussed various options throughout the Town. This seemed to be the best option and the result is really impressive.”
