Police probe south Cumbria quad bike thefts

Police are investigating two incidents of theft where quad bikes were stolen from two barns in the Cartmel Fell area of south Cumbria.

The incidents occurred overnight between midnight and 8:30am on Thursday the 11th of June.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Police would like to speak with two men who are described as: white, middle aged and both of whom were wearing hooded tops.

“Police are appealing to the public for any information they may hold in respect of these thefts. Have you seen a vehicle or people acting suspiciously in the area at the times mentioned, or seen a vehicle suitable for transporting quad bikes driving in the area between the times mentioned?

“Police advise the community to remain vigilant with security measures and report suspicious circumstances to the police on 101 or, should there be an immediate crime ongoing: 999.”

Anyone with information in respect of these incidents should call PC 2754 on 101, email [email protected] or Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111 quoting log number 36 and 39 of the 11th of June 2020.
