Officers are investigating a series of thefts which have occurred in the area of New Hutton.
The incidents are believed to have occurred between 6pm on 26 July and 6.30am on 27 July.
These thefts have occurred at three different locations in the area. Two trailers have been stolen from yards as well as a fuel trailer containing diesel. The fuel trailer has since been located, emptied and abandoned.
Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen either of these trailers being towed during the time frame mentioned.
