POLICE are investigating an incident of theft and damage caused at an industrial yard near Gatebeck.
The incident occurred yesterday (2 August) at around 8.50pm, near Gatebeck Lane.
The offender entered a secure yard, stealing diesel and a security camera, before then driving away towards Holme.
The offender was driving a dark Suzuki Grand Vitara with silver bumpers and was wearing a black balaclava.
Officers are appealing for any witnesses who may have seen this vehicle entering or leaving the area and may be able to assist with identifying the driver.
