A 9-year-old boy has suffered significant injuries following a road traffic collision in Maryport.
Police were called at 10.43am today following a collision on Mealpot Road.
The collision involved a silver Rover and a pedestrian – a 9-year-old boy.
A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The boy suffered significant injuries.
“He has been taken to the Cumberland Infirmary in Carlisle.
“The road has now reopened.”
