Man and boy arrested after attempted burglary in Lowca

POLICE are investigating an attempted burglary which occurred yesterday morning (6 August) at around 10am in the area of Mill Lonning, Lowca.

The suspects have attempted to enter a premises causing damage to the entrance.

The suspects are believed to be three men. The first man is described as white of a stocky build with light coloured hair. He was seen wearing a dark top and blue jeans.

The second man is described as white, of slim build with dark hair and was seen wearing a grey hoody with a black hood and grey bottoms.

The third male is described as white and was seen wearing a black and grey hoody with his hood up and dark bottoms.

The suspects were seen in a grey Ford Transit van.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “Following the incident, a 16-year-old boy from Lothian and a 53-year-old man, also from Lothian, were arrested on suspicion of burglary and police obstruction.

“They currently remain in custody.”
