A CARLISLE pensioner has appeared in court charged with an allegation of sexual assault on a female in Carlisle.
The allegation is from July 24, 2018, in that he intentionally touched a woman aged over 16 and the touching was of a sexual nature when she did not consent and he did not reasonably believe she was consenting.
John Douglas Forsyth, aged 70, gave his address as Blackwell Road, Carlisle, he appeared before District Judge Gerald Chalk sitting at Carlisle Magistrates Court and he pleaded not-guilty to the accusation.
Forsyth was granted bail until September 17, when he will appear before a judge at Carlisle Crown Court.
