Next week, South Lakes MP Tim Farron will be visiting 36 towns and villages stretching from Grasmere down to Burton and Torver across to Dent, as part of his annual summer surgery tour.

Tim is well known for taking advantage of Parliament’s summer recess to spend time getting out and about in the constituency talking to residents and acting on local issues and concerns.

A full list of times and dates for the summer tour can be found by heading to Tim’s website.

Tim said: “During this crisis, my team and I have been working hard for local residents, completing almost 7,000 cases since the beginning of lockdown.

“My summer tour gives me a great opportunity to get out and about to hear about the issues that matter to local people and act on them.

“This will be my 16th summer tour as our MP and it’s one of the best bits about my job.

“As in previous years, all of my stops will be outdoors which will make it much easier to keep to social distancing rules.

“No appointment is needed to see me – please just turn up and I’ll be delighted to see you!”
