Barrow man charged with robbery

Barrow-in-Furness Magistrates Court

Police have charged a man with robbery following a report of an incident on Michaelson Road, Barrow, at about 12.10am on Friday (October 9).

Following investigations, Zachary Richardson, 22, of no fixed abode, was charged with robbery.

He appeared before Barrow’s magistrates court yesterday (Saturday October 10) and the case was adjourned for a hearing at a later date.

A Cumbria Police spokesman said: “The man who reported a robbery, who is in his twenties, was not hurt during the incident.

“Officers are appealing for information and would like to hear from anyone who witnessed an incident, has CCTV or dashcam footage.”

Contact police on 101, referring to incident seven of October 9.

Alternatively, contact Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111.
