
Two men have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder in Carlisle.
Cumbria police were called to a property on Warwick Square at about 9.45pm yesterday after receiving reports of an altercation involving three men.
A 38-year-old man was injured during the incident.
He was taken to hospital with a stab wound and his condition is described as critical but stable.
Two local men, aged 23 and 24, were arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
They remain in police custody whilst enquiries continue.
There is an increased police presence in the area due to the ongoing investigation.
