Whitehaven Coastguard Rescue Team are urging people to stay vigilant while walking on coastal paths.
Recently, a boulder became dislodged and fell on to the path above Saltom Bay in Whitehaven.
The team said: “While pieces of the cliff eroding is normal, we would urge members of the public to remain vigilant and be mindful of all potential hazards, while out enjoying our lovely coastal environment.
“The new footpath in this area is quite wide, but please ensure you take extra care if out walking, running or cycling passed this area, due to the sheer cliff edge immediately seaward of the path.”
